This project supported a branding effort being undertaken by students in the Weatherford entrepreneurship program at Oregon State University. My peers and I developed a flexible brand centered around the phrase “Re: Weatherford.” The system played off the business-related quality of “re:” (as in “regarding”) and the forward-looking connotation of the prefix (as in “reinvent,” “refuel”). It also included a vocabulary of visual elements to accompany the messaging that could be easily reconfigured.
