When creating the posters for an upcoming lecture by an ecclectic and controversial designer, I jumped at the chance to break the rules. It made sense under the circumstances, and I felt confident in my knowledge of design conventions to break them effectively. Through a process of logical deconstruction and intuitive experimentation, I came up with a series of cheeky, exuberant collages that resonated with the target audience for the lecture and with the man in the spotlight, Elliott Earls.
